Trane Split Air Conditioners Earn 5 Star BEE Rating
- Design innovation and superior energy efficiency key parameters -

Chennai, India, April 06, 2011 – The entire range of split air conditioners offered by Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and solutions and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, has earned a 5-star energy rating from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).

The star rating is a system initiated by BEE, India, to determine the energy efficiency of electronic products for residential applications such as window and split air conditioners. Products are rated on a scale of 1-5 ‘stars’ depending on their energy efficiency; the higher the efficiency, the more stars are awarded.

The comprehensive product-line of split air conditioners that Trane offers, from 0.95 to 2.2 tons, conforms to BEE norms for providing effective, clean and comfortable cooling standards at the lowest power consumption levels, thereby reducing the load on the grid.

Speaking about this innovative range of split air conditioners, Rajesh Sikka, business leader for Trane India, said, “Innovation, excellence, reliability, superior technology and energy efficiency finds full expression in our new range of 5-star rated split air conditioners that we currently offer in the Indian market. We are confident that these unmatched features, coupled with our global reputation for offering technologically advanced equipment, will encourage customers to make a choice that’s good for the environment and for their personal finances.”

The Trane range of residential and light commercial air conditioners is sold exclusively through its appointed distributors and an extensive network of dealers spread across the country.
